The weekend is over. It was a good one. Yesterday we got a surprise dusting of snow through out the day and it was freezing cold. We went to a birthday party where they rented a gym in a rec center and just let the kids run around for 2 hrs. Molly & Alex thought it was great and they loved running around (no kidding). Then we went to Ms. Melissa's to help her mix martinis and other drinks. I had an apple-tini, 2 cosmos and finished the night with a beer. The mixed drinks were good, but I prefer just beer.
Molly really surprised me this morning. She can read. After reading 5 mini-readers, she decided to write a book of her own titled "Emma Steps In Mud" (see above). She did an excellent job of composing the sentences, which I wrote down and then she copied into the book, and then she illustrated every page. A total of 8 pages. It was a masterpiece, and I was very proud of her. And she was very proud of herself. She is amazing how she just knows how to read and write, and really doesn't have much trouble at it.
Sun. we played out back and Grammy and Poppy came over to run around with everyone. The sun was out & warm so it was a great afternoon. Now with daylight savings time, we will get to play outside after dinner.
Oh, on Fri. Alex had a dr. appt. He is 30 lbs. and 37" tall and doing just fine.
