Yesterday Alex's school called for me to come and pick him up. He had a 101 temp. and a belly ache. On my way. Picked him up, got back to our street & Steve is standing in the neighbors yard with a puzzled look on his face. Peaches has run out of the gate that the deck stainers left open when they went for their lunch break. No dog, sick kid in car. Get the poor guy in the house & on the couch. Steve now has to leave for work...what about the dog? i walk down the street quick with my neighbor who also has a kid home sick from school with the same thing.
Steve leaves, put Alex in the car to go look for Peaches. Drive down the street & my phone rings. It is my neigbor on the corner who has Peaches trapped on her deck. Peaches went down to play with their dog Casey. Wonderful, hop out & get the dog in the car. As I am putting Peaches back in the car, Alex starts to throw-up all over himself and the car seat. Wonderful. Drive home, clean up child, put in bed with a puke bowl & cold wash cloth on head. Two hrs. later, Alex is perfectly fine and wants to have a friend over to play - absolutely not. Ordered Italian for dinner, cleaned off deck of all saw dust for stainers, got a shower & collapsed into bed. Long day.
